Abstract:Informacijska podpora managementa znanja z novimi tehnologijami skuša pojasniti vlogo novih informacijskih tehnologij, ki podjetjem obljubljajo bolj učinkovito in uspešno delo.

Title:INFORMATION SUPPORT OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT WITH NEW TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract:Information Support of Knowledge Management with new Technologies aims to examine the role of new information technologies, which promise to help companies work more efficient and effective. In this regard, different aspects of information's digital organization, key characteristics of new technologies and knowledge management, which tries to systematically define knowledge and approaches to its management, are analyzed. The first part examines needs for knowledge management, knowledge management strategy, processes and the main roadblocks of implementing knowledge management. The second part observes the evolution of information technologies and their consequences on information, knowledge and business organization. The last part presents a systematic approach to select and implement new technologies, an analytic method for measuring knowledge management and the recognition and success of knowledge management. We show that new technologies differ from old ones mainly in their ability to support unstructured processes, help better support tacit knowledge and improve collaboration among individuals. It was demonstrated that information technology alone is not sufficient for success. Equally decisive are the strategic goals of a company, organizational change and culture and measurement techniques. Knowledge management is a method, which comprehensively implements information technology because it includes besides technology, knowledge itself, people, organization and processes. The value of knowledge management can be measured with its impact on direct and indirect business effects.
Keywords:Knowledge management, information technology, intellectual capital, knowledge worker, tacit and explicit knowledge, Enterprise 2.0, social platforms.
