Abstract:	V magistrskem delu z naslovom Varovanje tovora in problematika kraj v oskrbovalni verigi smo predstavili vpliv kraj tovora na uspešnost oskrbovalnih verig. Na podlagi poglobljenega študija literature smo izluščili pomembne podatke za naše delo. Nato smo na podlagi spoznanj oblikovali anketne vprašalnike, s katerimi smo anketirali slovenska podjetja. Nalogo smo razdelili na dva dela. Prvi je teoretični del, v katerem smo predstavili problematiko kraj tovora v oskrbovalni verigi. Ocene avtorjev (Anderson, Ekwall, Hoffman in Stanfill) so, da je letni obseg kraj tovora med 30–50 milijard ameriških dolarjev. Sledila je še predstavitev metod in tehnologij, ki se uporabljajo za preprečevanje kraj tovora. Drugi del predstavlja našo raziskavo, ki smo jo opravili z metodo anketiranja. Za sodelovanje smo prosili tri člene, ki sodelujejo v oskrbovalni verigi. To so proizvodna podjetja, prevozniki in zavarovalnice, pri katerih je možno skleniti zavarovanje tovora. Zbrane rezultate smo grafično prikazali in jih tudi pokomentirali. Na koncu smo ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli, strnili v zaključkih. Ključne ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli, so, da se večina kraj tovora zgodi ponoči in kraja pomembno vpliva na ugled podjetja in na delovanje oskrbovalne verige, slovenska podjetja pa se dokaj uspešno spopadajo s problematiko kraj tovora.

Title:	Securing cargo and problem of cargo thefts in supply chain
Abstract:	In the dissertation, entitled Securing Cargo and Problem of Cargo Thefts in Supply Chain, we present the impact of cargo thefts on the performance of supply chains. On the basis of an in-depth study of the literature, we discovered important information for our work. Afterwards, we developed the survey questionnaires on the basis of the findings and we interviewed some Slovenian companies with the questionnaires. We have divided the dissertation into two parts. The first is a theoretical part in which we presented the issue of the cargo thefts in the supply chain. Authors (Anderson, Ekwall, Hoffman in Stanfill) estimate an annual volume of cargo thefts between 30–50 billion US dollars. A presentation of the methods and technologies that are used for the prevention of cargo thefts follows. The second part presents our research that we have done with the method of the survey. We asked three parts involved in the supply chain for cooperation. These are the production companies, carriers, and insurance companies where it is possible to make insurance of cargo. Results were collected in a graphic display and we added comments. In the end, we made conclusions. The main findings are that most of the cargo thefts happen at night and at weekends. Theft has an important impact on the reputation of the company and the performance of the supply chain. Slovenian companies struggle with the issue of the place quite successfully.
