Abstract:	Diplomsko delo obravnava zgodovino in uporabo srebrovih delcev v zdravstvu in domačem okolju ter njihovo učinkovitost pri zdravljenju. Glavni namen je predstaviti uporabo srebrovih delcev in ugotoviti izkušnje ljudi, ki uporabljajo srebrove delce. V raziskavi smo uporabili empirično metodo anketiranja. Anketni vprašalnik smo pripravili na osnovi predhodno proučenih literaturnih virov. Podatke smo zbirali med naključno izbranimi uporabniki izdelkov koloidnega srebra v Sloveniji. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 38 oseb od katerih jih je 31 že uporabljajo koloidno srebro. Opisali smo uporabo koloidnega srebra in postopek izdelave koloidnega srebra. Izpostavili smo vrste in načine doziranja koloidnega srebra ter možnosti njegove uporabe. Ugotovili smo, da pretežni del anketirancev srebrove delce uživa za lajšanje težav povezanih z virusnimi obolenji (prehlad, gripa, herpes). Raziskava je pokazala, da najmanj anketirancev koloidno srebro uporablja za konzerviranje hrane. Ugotovili smo, da pretežni del anketirancev, to je 27 oziroma 87 % opaža, da se po uporabi koloidnega srebra koža bolje celi, 28 anketiranih oziroma 90 % opaža, da se pri zdravljenju s srebrovimi delci virusi hitreje uničijo. Prav tako izsledki raziskave kažejo, da 27 oziroma 90 % anketiranih opaža, da se pri zdravljenju s srebrovimi delci glivice hitreje uničijo. Sklepamo lahko, da je koloidno srebro pogosto uporabljeno sredstvo za lajšanje težav v domačem okolju glede na zaznane pozitivne učinke o učinkovitosti koloidnega srebra.

Title:	THE USE OF SILVER PARTICLES FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES
Abstract:	The diploma thesis deals with the history and use of silver particles in health care and in home environment and their efficiency in the treatment. The main purpose is to demonstrate the use of silver particles and find out the experience of people who use silver particles. In the study we used an empirical method of interviewing. The questionnaire was prepared on the basis of previously studied literature. Data were collected between randomly selected users of colloidal silver products in Slovenia. The study involved 38 persons of which 31 had already been using colloidal silver. We described the use of colloidal silver and the procedure of colloidal silver production. We highlighted the types and methods of colloidal silver dosage and possibilities of its usage. We found out that the majority of interviewees used silver particles to alleviate problems associated with viral infections (cold, flu, and herpes). The survey has shown that fewer interviewees used colloidal silver for preserving food. Furthermore, we discovered that the majority of interviewees, i.e. 27 or 87 % noted that skin heals better after the use of colloidal silver; 28 interviewees or 90 % noted that viruses are more quickly destroyed in treatment with silver particles. Moreover, the results have shown that 27 or 90 % of the interviewees noted that in treatment with silver particles fungi are rapidly destroyed. We can conclude that colloidal silver is often used means to alleviate problems in home environment in relation to the perceived positive effects on the effectiveness of colloidal silver. Although colloidal silver effectively helps to alleviate health problems, we believe that the possibility of increasing its use can be achieved with increased familiarity on the use of colloidal silver for various purposes.
