Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava etiko v zdravstvu in socialnem varstvu kot pomemben dejavnik kakovostne obravnave iskalcev tovrstnih storitev. Anketiranci so svoje podatke podali s pomočjo Likertove lestvice. V povprečju so anketiranci podelili najvišjo oceno pravičnosti in poštenosti.

Title:RESPECT FOR THE MORAL AND ETHICAL PRINCIPLES IN PRIVATE HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract:The master's thesis researches ethics in the medical services and social care as an important factor of quality treatment of such services seekers. We have originated from a supposition that ethics is more and more needed and important, therefore, it is reasonable to strive for these principles which is necessarily needed for reaching a long-term success of the organization. The research methods: There has been the researching quantitative method used in the empiric part of the thesis where we have used a questionnaire of 28 opened and closed type questions. The questionnaire has been taken and adapted from the doctoral dissertation entitled Ethics and Values in Healing by the author Božena Martel. The respondents have given their data with the help of Likert scale. 92 of the questionnaires have been returned and correctly fulfilled. Population which has been included in the questionnaire included nurses, medical technicians, medical doctors, and their leaders or managers. The results: According to the gained answers, we can conclude that moral and ethical values of workers at work in private health organizations are considered and highly appreciated. According to the meaning of the mentioned values, the respondents have decided for the highest grade ("it means a lot to me") in 90%. The respondents have given the highest grade to justice and integrity in average. 60% of the respondents have told that they occasionally communicate in team about the ethics of the procedures. 49% of the employees always think about the ethic working. In 71% leaders have graded the respondent as a role model of moral and ethic treatment which is fairly high grade. The superiors are a help for the employees to a large extent (88%) when they face with moral and ethical dilemmas. Education at the ethical area is rare. Conclusion: Besides some factors which could influence lower ethical working of the employees in health-social organizations, we have discovered that the respondents appreciate such values and that they have relatively good support from their superiors.
