Abstract:V diplomskem delu sem predstavila celoten opus del Jane Bauer: V deželi medenjakov, Groznovilca v Hudi hosti, Izginjevalec čarovnic, Čarobna beseda, Detektivske prigode Fokusa in Kolumne, Skrivnost izropane grobnice in Detektivske prigode Fokusa in Kolumne, V strašljivem hotelu. Dela sem literarno- morfološko razčlenila. Šest analiziranih del sem razvrstila v dva širša tipa mladinske književnosti, in sicer v fantastični tip in realistični tip. V fantastični tip sodijo: V deželi medenjakov, Groznovilca v Hudi hosti, Izginjevalec čarovnic in Čarobna beseda. Detektivske prigode Fokusa in Kolumne: v strašljivem hotelu in Detektivske prigode Fokusa in Kolumne: skrivnost izropane grobnice pa sodita v realistični tip, in sicer sta to detektivski zgodbi. Teme so: iskanje staršev, kazen, preobrazba in pogrešanje staršev. V realističnih delih so najpogostejši motivi: detektivstvo, prijateljstvo, odtujeni starši, bister otrok in slovo. Tema je pisanje detektivskih zgodb.

Title:POETICS OF JANA BAUER'S YOUNG ADULT LITERATURE
Abstract:We have presented the complete works of Jane Bauer: In the Land of Gingerbread Biscuits, Horrorvils in Bad Forest, The Witch Exorcist, The Magic Word, Detective Adventures of Fokus and Kolumna: The Mistery of the Robbed Tomb, Detective Adventures of Fokus and Kolumna: In the Spooky Hotel. The works have been literary and morphologically analyzed. We have sorted six of the analyzed works into two types of youth literature: fantastic and realistic type. In the Land of Gingerbread Biscuits, Horrorvils in Bad Forest, The Witch Exorcist and The Magic Word belong to the fantasy type. Detective Adventures of Fokus and Kolumna: Mistery of the Robbed Tomb and Detective Adventures of Fokus and Kolumna: In the Spooky Hotel belong to the realistic type – they are detective stories. Topics of the individual fantasy works belong to a child’s perception of the world. The child or a teenager who grows up and socializes deals with the world and solves the problems in his own way. The subject of the realistic works is an alienated family. The most frequent motif in the fantastic literature works are: anger, fear, loneliness, courage, and friendship. The themes are: searching for parents, punishment, transformation, and missing parents. The most frequent motifs in the realistic works are: a detective story, friendship, alienated parents, a smart child and farewell.
