Title:Obravnava otroka z možganskim tumorjem

Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča. Možganski tumorji zrastejo znotraj osrednjega živčnega sistema. Gre za spekter različnih bolezni z različnim biološkim potekom, načinom in izidom zdravljenja. Predstavljajo 20 % malignih bolezni pri otrocih. Onkološke medicinske sestre so pomemben element kakovostnega izvajanja onkološke pediatrične zdravstvene nege, saj delujejo kot neposredne načrtovalke in izvajalke zdravstvene nege, organizatorice, svetovalke, vzgojiteljice in zagovornice malega pacienta v času zdravja in bolezni. Metodologija raziskovanja. Diplomsko delo temelji na uporabili deskriptivne metode dela. V raziskavi je bila uporabljena kvalitativna metodologijo. S pomočjo tehnike intervjuja, ki je vseboval vprašanja odrtega tipa, smo izvedli študijo primera. Rezultati. Ugotovili smo, da 14 osnovnih življenjskih aktivnosti po Virginiji Henderson zagotavlja kakovostno in kontinuirano zdravstveno nego. Z izpostavljenimi negovalnimi diagnozami smo ugotovili, da zaradi možganskega tumorja otrok potrebuje pomoč pri vsakdanjih aktivnostih ter da ima otrokova bolezen velik vpliv na celotno družino. Sklep. Medicinska sestra izvaja kakovostno onkološko zdravstveno nego, ki je nepogrešljiv in zelo pomemben del zdravstvene oskrbe otroka z možganskim tumorjem. Ta ima neposreden vpliv na področju preventive rakavih obolenj, zgodnjega diagnosticiranja, zdravljenja ter rehabilitacije malih pacientov.

Title:Treatment of children with a brain tumor
Abstract:Theoretical background. Brain tumors grow inside the central nervous system. They cover a whole spectrum of various diseases with different biological progress, types and results of treatment. They represent 20 % of all malign diseases in children. Medical nurses are an important part of pediatric oncology nursing, acting as direct planners and providers of medical care, organizers, consultants, educators and defenders of patients in sickness and health. Methodology. In this thesis we used a descriptive research method. Research was based on qualitative methodology. More specifically, we conducted a case study based on the technique of an open-ended interview. Results. Our results imply that the 14 fundamental needs of man developed by Virginia Henderson provide good and continuous health care. Based on the nursing diagnoses we had prepared, we found out that children with brain tumor need help in everyday activities. Furthermore, the disease affects the whole family of a patient. Conclusion. Providing good oncology health care is an essential and very important part of health nursing for children with brain tumor. It directly influences the fields of cancer prevention, early diagnostics and treatment, and rehabilitation process of patients.
