Abstract:V nalogi se osredinjamo na področje socialnih transferjev in revščine. Socialne transferje prištevamo k sklopu socialnega varstva, s katerim preprečujemo in rešujemo socialno problematiko ljudi.

Title:THE EFFECT OF SOCIAL TRANSFERS IN REDUCING POVERTY IN SLOVENIA AND HUNGARY
Abstract:In master's thesis, we focused on social transfers and poverty. Social transfers accounted for within the framework of social protection by preventing and solving social problems of people. We compared the receiving social transfers on the territory of Hungary and Slovenia, while we found that both state are social mentioned, although Hungary has slightly lower social benefits and also has a slightly different system by redistribution of social transfers. At the same time it is worth nothing that both countries provide an extremely strong emphasis on social protection of its citizens, because some periods of its expenditures are significantly higher than some of the member states of the European Union. Poverty has always represented a social problem of any nation and state. In this work we have conclude the factors that are the main culprits of rising poverty in Slovenia and Hungary. Child poverty is the greatest challenge developed word, which is present in all forms and countries. The most vulnerable social groups in Hungary represent families with several children, in Slovenia, one-person households. From the comparison further, we find that the territory of Hungary in higher, which means that the population is higher, which means that the poverty is higher than in Slovenia. Particular attention was paid to the importance of social transfers reducing poverty in both countries. We came to conclusion that poverty in Hungary is higher than in Slovenia, but by giving social transfers to its citizens the number of poor people reduced almost by half. We note that in a similar manner reduce poverty in Slovenia.
