Njegova zgodovina sega vse do obdobja neolitika.

Title:BAROQUE ORNAMENTS ON CLOTHERS AND ARCHITECTURAL FACADES IN SLOVENIA
Abstract:Ornament as a decoration is present for quite some time. It's history reaches as far as the Neolithic. The period of Barque enriches the ornament even further, with multiple new decoration elements. The stated can be found in art as well as in architecture. The most common ornaments in fabrics are vegetative and geometrical, where in architecture we know of geometrical or abstract ornaments, vegetative and animal ornaments and ornaments based on human figure. The Baroque materials in garments represent various fabrics or cloth, which reflect the status of the individuals in a society. The fabrics like, black velvet, silk, white laced veil, printed cloth, scarlet, atlas, damask, gorget characterised the upper class (aristocracy, bourgeois), while common fabrics, rough cloth, canvas and leather were used in lower classes (peasants). The retrieved lace from Valvasors family tomb and written documents have significantly contributed to reconstruction of Janez Vajkard Valvasors and his spouses Ana Maksimile Valvasor garment styles. The discoveries show that the mentioned in laws followed the Baroque fashion in Europe, which was typical for upper classes. The fashion of the period can be also observed from the Baroque portraits situated in the »Narodni muzej Slovenije«. The Baroque fascades of profane and sacred arhitecture in Ljubljana reveal us the abundant ornamentics. The sacred were made by the guild of stucco-workers. Connections wer found from the randomly picked examples, which include the reconstruction of two garments from the period of Baroque, ten Baroque portraits from »Narodni muzej Slovenije« and multiple Baroque fascades in the Ljubljana perimiter. Lastly mentioned focus on the field of ornamentics.
