Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo izvedli načrtovanje procesov z negotovimi parametri. S pravilno določenimi kritičnimi oglišči smo dobili enak rezultat kot z uporabo vseh oglišč, kar predstavlja bistveno zmanjšanje optimizacijskega problema in omogoča reševanje primerov z večjim številom negotovih parametrov.

Title:SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS IN CHEMICAL PROCESS MODELS
Abstract:In this diploma thesis, design of processes with uncertain parameters was performed. Heat exchanger network (HEN) was used as a case study. The main goal was to design optimal and flexible networks, capable of feasible operation under varying input parameters. By using a sensitivity analysis, those parameters showing impact on the objective function and the sizes/areas of heat exchangers were identified. The parameters' influences were classified as monotonically increasing and decreasing, mixed, and those without the effect. The influences of the parameters as well as their interactions were tested quantitatively by the statistical methods. Those critical vertices necessary for achieving flexibility were determined by applying influencing parameters. The HEN design was performed at the nominal point and all vertices, and at the nominal point together with the critical vertices. Flexibility tests were performed in order to establish whether the designs obtained were flexible or not. The results have shown that a total cost of flexible network was higher then the cost of the inflexible one. A proper set of critical vertices produced the same result than a set of all vertices. This result represents a significant reduction of the optimization problem, and thereby allows for solving the problems with a larger number of uncertain parameters.
