Predstavili smo viruse influence in raziskali preko različnih baz podatkov pojavljanje virusov influence tipa A v naključno izbranih severnih, tropskih in južnih državah sveta, skozi celo leto v zadnjih petih letih.

Title:MONITORING THE INFLUENZA VIRUS IN THE WORLD IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS BY USING VARIOUS DATABASES
Abstract:In this diploma thesis we discussed the theme called monitoring the influenza virus in the world in the last five years by using various databases. We have presented influenza viruses and through different databases researched the emergence of influenza viruses type A in randomly selected northern, tropical and southern countries around the world throughout the year in the last five years. The purpose was also to explore when and where the influenza A viruses is more on the rise in a particular time of the year. Our goal was to describe influenza viruses. Information was collected through different databases: World Health Organization (WHO) and the European Centre of Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). For northern countries of the world we randomly chose Canada, France and Japan, from the tropical past of the world we chose Colombia, Kenya and Thailand and from southern Australia, Chile and South Africa. We have found that influenza A viruses are most frequently found in the northern part of the world, the incidence of viruses is also associated with outbreaks pandemics and epidemics of influenza. Most of the infections were recorded in the winter months. We think that infections can be considerably reduced with measures like coughing into handkerchiefs and maximizing immunization against the influenza viruses. Constant education of health workers is necessary so that they know how to handle a major outbreak of pandemic influenza.
