Title:STALIŠČA DO SMRTI V POVEZAVI Z RAZPOLOŽENJEM PRI STAROSTNIKIH

Abstract:V tretjem življenjskem obdobju je človek pogosteje soočen z izgubami in smrtjo. Doživlja močno krčenje socialne mreže. Pojavijo se tudi težave na zdravstvenem področju kot posledica upada telesnih funkcij. Eden izmed psiholoških (čustvenih) aspektov staranja se navezuje na prilagajanje postopnemu upadanju lastnega zdravja ter privajanju na izgube in spremembe. V človeku se pojavi močnejše razpoloženjsko dogajanje. Gre za posebno dojemanje in občutenje človeka na "koncu poti". Z magistrskim delom smo želeli preveriti možnost povezave med stališči do smrti z razpoloženjem pri starostnikih, vključenih v socialno varstveno oskrbo. Preveriti smo želeli tudi povezave nekaterih demografskih podatkov z omenjenima raziskovalnima konstruktoma. Za preverjanje stališč do smrti in razpoloženja pri starostnikih smo uporabili DAS-vprašalnik anksioznosti do smrti in PANAS-vprašalnik za merjenje razpoloženja. V raziskavi smo zajeli 118 udeležencev, 85 žensk in 33 moških po 65. letu starosti. Pokazala se je povezava anksioznosti do smrti z negativno emocionalnostjo, drugje smo opazili le določene trende.

Title:ATTITUDES TOWARDS DEATH IN CONNECTION WITH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE AFFECTS AMONG ELDERLY CITIZENS
Abstract:In the third life period, a person is faced with loss and death more often. He or she experiences strong narrowing of social network. There are also problems at the health area as a consequence of lower bodily functions. One of the psychological (emotional) aspects of aging is connected with adaptation to graduate lowering of one's own health and adjustment to loss and changes. Stronger mood happening appears in a person. These are special emotions and acceptance of life at the "end of the road". In the master thesis, we have tried to check a possibility of relation between attitudes towards death and affect with elderly included in social security care. We have wanted to check some relations of some demographic data with the mentioned research constructs. For checking the attitudes towards death and affect with elderly we have used DAS-death anxiety scale and PANAS- the positive and negative affect schedule. There have been 118 respondents included in the research, 85 women and 33 men older than 65. There has been a relation between death anxiety with negative affect (NA); others have shown only certain trends.
