Abstract:Prekmurje, skrajni severovzhodni del današnjega slovenskega prostora, je v 19. stoletju pripadalo ogrskemu delu Avstro-Ogrske.

Title:ZOOOLOGIC NOMENCLATURE IN PRIRODOPIS S KEPAMI ZA NARODNE ŠOLE TEXTBOOK BY IMRE AVGUSTIČ
Abstract:Prekmurje, the most north-eastern part of today's Slovenia, was a part of Hungarian territory of the Austria-Hungary in the 19. century. It was also the birth place of Imre Agustič, a stenographer and publicist, who started publishing the newspaper Prijatelj ("Friend") in 1875 in Budapest. He has also taken on writing poetry, tales, translating, and politics. He was also the author of the textbook Prirodopis s kepami za národne šole, published in 1877 in Budapest. My diploma thesis focuses particularly on the first part of this textbook, which discusses animals Agustič summarized after Domače in tuje živali v podobah by Erjavec. The books differ in length and quantity of animal species presented, however some nomenclature and information on individual animals are the same in both. Also the approach on the theme is completely different - Erjavec reveals information through stories and Agustič is more encyclopaedic. The half of Agustič's nomenclature of animals is same as that by Erjavec. The most of nomenclature can be found in Slovensko-nemški slovar by Pleteršnik, in Slovar stare knjižne prekmurščine by Vilko Novak and in Dictionary of Standard Slovene. We can detect the influence of older forms of the standard language, and also see the impact of the dialect in animals' nomenclature and the context. The influence of the Hungarian language is not distinct, because most of the animals' entries are of Indo-European origin.
