Abstract:Pojmovanje kritične infrastrukture zajema vse tiste sisteme, katerih nedelovanje ali omejeno delovanje povzroča družbene krizne situacije.

Title:Risk management in distribution power system of RS
Abstract:The concept of critical infrastructure covers all those systems whose failure or limited operation causes social crises. The energy sector, which includes the electric power system (EPS), is also among these systems. Distribution power system (DPS), which is part of the EPS, can in some segments be treated as a stand-alone system due to its complexity. DPS infrastructure is highly exposed to atmospheric and other external influences and evidences show that this exposure will be further increased due to climatic changes, which results in an increasing presence of extreme weather events. From the perspective of critical infrastructure protection, this means that modern DPS needs a comprehensive and adequate risk management system, especially for the management of natural risks, which the electric power sector generally defines as the product of force majeure. Due to the development of the EPS supply chain, whose consequence is also dispersion of DPS, we can expect new requirements for quality of electricity. The primary task of DPS is the supply of electricity in prescribed or agreed quality to customers. In EPS, the concept of quality among others covers quality of electricity supply and is to some extent a reflection of reliability (continuity) of power, which is measured with systemic indicators for the number of and the duration of the interruption. The results of our research showed that reasons of force majeure have a negative impact on these indicators, while use of ISO standards for risk management has a positive impact on them.
