Tovrstna dejanja so trajala vse do leta 1947, ko so Britanci palestinsko ozemlje prepustili OZN.

Title:ARAB-AMERICAN RELATIONS BETWEEN YEARS 1945-1967 IN THE VIEW OF SLOVENIAN NEWAPAPERS
Abstract:The events in the Middle East are always an interesting topic to study especially the period between 1945-1967. This period could be described as a transition period from British and particularly French influence to the American influence in the region. After the second world war the United States have become the most powerful economic and military force in the world and consequently strengthened their influence around the globe. Most of the Arab states during this period were ruled by the Hashemite royal family, which was loyal to the British. The leaders of the military of these states circles were convinced that the West and the British did not do enough to secure the Arab interests. This became obvious after establishment of Israel, which later became main generator of the conflicts in the Middle East. The situation in Palestine was problematic since the beginning of the 20th century. After the first world war the mandate over the Palestine was delivered to the British, who weren't able to manage the increasing tensions between the Arabs and Jews. British answered to the problems with so called White Papers, but neither Jews nor Arabs didn't accept the proposals written in these documents. This situation remained unstable until 1947 when the area was delivered to the UN. In other Arab countries the military officiers gained influence and they used it to overthrow the ruling dynasties in Egypt and Iraq. The officiers in Iran had other intentions when they staged a coup d'etat against the prime minister Mohamed Mossadegh. It was coordinated by CIA agent Kermit Roosevelt.
