Abstract:	Teoretično izhodišče. V magistrskem delu smo predstavili pravne osnove za izvajanje prve pomoči, najpogostejša pravna vprašanja, s katerimi se soočajo laiki v vsakdanjem življenju, in primere iz sodne prakse na tem področju. Metodologija raziskovanja. Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja, za zbiranje podatkov pa anketni vprašalnik s 23 vprašanji odprtega in zaprtega tipa. V raziskavo smo vključili 100 naključno izbranih polnoletnih dijakov in drugih udeležencev tečajev prve pomoči v celjski občini. Rezultate raziskave smo obdelali s pomočjo računalniških programov Microsoft Office Word 2013 in Microsoft Office Excel 2013 ter IBM SPSS Statistics 22. Rezultati raziskave. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da je manj kot 40 % laikov v prvi pomoči seznanjenih z zakonodajo na področju prve pomoči in da se laiki pogosto vprašajo, ali bi nudili prvo pomoč v skladu s svojimi dolžnostmi oziroma pravili, ki jih določajo zakoni, ter da pomislijo na lastno varnost. Rezultati so pokazali tudi, da bi kar 67 % anketirancev nudilo prvo pomoč ne glede na druge ljudi v bližini in da znanje o nudenju prve pomoči bistveno vpliva na odločitev laikov v prvi pomoči o njenem izvajanju. Sklep. Poškodovanec oz. nenadno oboleli potrebuje strokovno pravilno pomoč, ki mora biti nudena takoj. Ob njem je takrat največkrat prvi ravno laik, od katerega je odvisno preživetje poškodovanca/nenadno obolelega oziroma njegovo okrevanje. K izboljšanju stanja med laičnim prebivalstvom lahko pripomoreta le boljše znanje in večja osveščenost prebivalstva o pomembnosti takojšnje in pravilne prve pomoči. Marsikatero dilemo med laiki bi lahko rešili z bolj pogostim obveznim izobraževanjem oziroma obnavljanjem znanja, ne samo teoretično, ampak tudi s praktičnimi prikazi primerov oziroma situacij, v katerih se lahko znajde laik.

Title:	LEGAL DILEMMAS IN FIRST AID AMONG LAY PEOPLE
Abstract:	Theoretical basis. In the master's thesis legal basis for first aid implementation is presented, as well as the most common legal questions that laypeople are confronted with and the examples of the case law from this area. Research methodology. Quantitative research methodology was applied and to gather information we used questionnaire survey with 23 questions of open and closed-ended type. We included 100 randomly chosen adult students and other first aid course participants from the municipality of Celje. Survey results are processed with the help of computer software Microsoft Office Word 2012, Microsoft Office Excel 2013 and IBM Statistics 22. Results. Research results showed that less than 40% of laypeople in the first aid are familiar with legislation from the area of first aid and that laypeople often question themselves if they should offer first aid in accordance with their duty or rules of law and that they think about their own safety. Results also showed that 67% of respondents would offer first aid no matter whether other people are around and that knowledge of first aid essentially influences the laypeople's decision of whether to offer first aid at all. Conclusion. An injured or suddenly ill person needs professional proper help that must be offered straightaway. At that moment a layperson is in most cases by the person and so the survival of the injured/suddenly ill or his/her recovery depends on the person present. Only better knowledge and awareness of the population can improve the state among the laypeople of how essentially important is immediate and correct first aid. Many dilemmas among laypeople could be resolved by more frequent compulsory education or renewal of knowledge, but not just theoretically, but with practical presentations of different examples or situations in which a layperson can find oneself.
