Abstract:Obseg pridelave zrnatih stročnic v Sloveniji je še vedno pod želenim nivojem, saj je z zrnatimi stročnicami posejanih le 0,23 odstotkov vseh površin.

Title:INTRODUCTION OF GRAIN LEGUMES INTO CROP ROTATION ON DAIRY FARMS
Abstract:The volume of production of grain leguminous crops in Slovenia is still beneath the desired level. Only 0.23 % of all planted area in Slovenia is occupied with grain legume crops. This is why Slovenia imports 70 % of feed proteins where appears the problem of the import of transgenic soybeans across the ocean. This diploma work deals with the research in which the main goal was to define the present situation in Slovenia and to recognize the future development objectives of the major breeders and producers of fodder crops. The research was done on the basis of the questionnaire carried out in the region of the Savinja Valley. The questionnaire was distributed among dairy farms, which have more than 5 hectares of cultivated fields and are included in »Produced/manufactured GMO free« milk production. The result of the questionnaire shows, that only 23 % of included farms grow grain leguminous. The main reason for low production of grain leguminous is in the lack of agricultural areas. On the other hand the result of the questionnaire shows that soybean is used as feed food by 47 % of those who took part in the questionnaire. The other half of the farmers think that growing soybean causes excessive costs. The farmers are also badly informed about the growing of soybean and also about its feed value. Only 10 % of farmers who took part in the questionnaire is informed how should a common European policy increase the production of leguminous crops. Only 37 % of them predicts that the growth of the production of leguminous crops by the year 2020 will increase mostly because of the financial incentive. On the basis of these results it can be concluded that farmers do not believe in the effectiveness of financial incentives. In the year 2015, 2 % of payments from national envelope is intended for support on production of protein crops. In 2015 the height of financial support for the hectare of area occupied with protein crops is 419 euros.
