Abstract:Diplomsko delo obravnava nekatere vidike joge v zgodnji socializaciji otroka. Podatki so zbrani z opazovanjem in sprotnim pisanjem dnevnih evalvacij ob izvajanju aktivnosti.

Title:CERTAIN ASPECTS OF YOGA IN EARLY SOCIALISATION OF CHILDREN
Abstract:The diploma thesis deals with some aspects of yoga in the early socialisation of a child. The theoretical part describes the child’s development in the preschool period and also presents child’s motor and dance development as well as the comparison between the two. The purpose of the thesis is to present yoga, its influence on children and what is the affect of yoga in their everyday life if implemented regularly. The research included two to three years old children in Postojna kindergarten. Theye were encouraged for one month to regularly practice certain yoga elements. The purpose was to strengthen their concentration ability and extending their willingness to cooperate. The information was gathered by observing and simoultaneous recording (writing) of daily evaluation while executing activities. It was established that based on some yoga elements children use these positions in other circumstances or situations. Besides, with regular practising of exercises willingness of children to cooperate extends during the practise, however it was not noticed that this reflected in other activities during the day as well. Children were focused on the execution itself which means that practising yoga elements positively affected their current focus. However, in this case it could not be seen that this focus continued in the following activities or situations. Although in the literature and own experience it was established that concentration ability and willingness to cooperate is short in general during children’s first years, the conclusion is that with regular practising of certain yoga elements for a longer period it could extend both; concentration ability as well as willingness.
