Za dokaz cilja, dokazati povezavo med okoljskimi vprašanji, socialnimi vrednotami in zatiranjem smo za analizo izbrali roman Jamesa Baldwina Go Tell it on the Mountain.

Title:AN ECOFEMINIST LITERARY CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE NOVEL GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN BY JAMES BALDWIN
Abstract:Ecofeminism is a practical movement based on the premise there is an important connection between the domination of women and the domination of nature. Additional goals of the movement are also to reveal the interconnectedness between the human and nonhuman world, as well as challenge the hierarchy concept, which is a social construct that was transferred onto nature, thus causing exploitation of nature by the human, capitalist oriented world. Because literature remains a constant educator, the activist Greta Gaard created seven contours that would enable Ecofeminism to function as a critical approach to literature. The thesis is an attempt to explore whether Greta Gaard’s seven contours, if applied to a random literary work, truly offer a deeper insight into the novel and if a parallel to the environment and nonhuman kind can be drawn. I chose to analyze the novel by James Baldwin Go Tell it on the Mountain in order to prove a connection between environmental issues, social values and oppression.
Keywords:Ecofeminism, oppression, interconnectedness, Greta Gaard, contours.
