Abstract:Magistrsko delo obravnava odločitveni model, s katerim si bomo pomagali poiskati primernega vodja bolnišničnega oddelka zdravstvene organizacije. Rezultate smo kritično analizirali in uredili.

Title:DECISION MODEL FOR CHOOSING A HOSPITAL DEPARTMENT HEAD NURSE
Abstract:The master thesis deals with the decision making model which will help us find the suitable head of the hospital department of health organization. We are faced with the lack of staff on an everyday basis yet no one considers the important role of the head nurse in the hospital department leadership. The head nurse should have good organizational skills; it is, however, difficult to find a nurse that would have the knowledge of all fields, from health care to management. With bad leadership come other problems such as the lack of employee motivation, the unprofessional execution of health procedures, sick leaves, and the reduced successfulness of the department as such. In order to avoid these issues, carefully prepared interviews had to be prepared. These, however, demand a lot of time and preparations. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the empirical part. The theoretical part focuses on the environment in which we will try to solve this problem, the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Department of Acute and Complicated Haemodialysis (Oddelek za akutno in komplicirano hemodializo). We will also touch upon the subject of employee satisfaction. In the empirical part we will, by using the Dexi programme, search for an easier way to choose the right head of the hospital department. The results will be analysed critically and arranged. In the end, we will also demonstrate our data by using the Vredana programme. We will present our results to the head of the Haemodialysis Centre (Center za hemodializo).
Keywords:Multicriteria hierarchical decision model, Dex methodology, head nurse, Haemodialysis.
