Abstract:V letu 2009 smo na Univerzitetnem centru za vinogradništvo in vinarstvo Meranovo Fakultete za kmetijstvo in biosistemske vede ugotavljali tehnološke lastnosti dveh odpornih sort vinske trte 'Monarch' in 'Rondo'. Spremljali smo fenofaze in dozorevanje grozdja, merili klorofil, temperature listne površine, mladike, jagode in zraka, analizirali grozdni sok ter rezultate primerjali s kontrolno sorto 'Modri pinot'.

Title:ESTABLISHING TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF RESISTANT GRAPE VARIETIES 'MONARCH' AND 'RONDO'
Abstract:In the year 2009 technological properties of two grape varieties ‘Monarch’ and ‘Rondo’ were being determined at the University centre for viticulture and enology Meranovo of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences. We monitored the phenophases and grape ripening, measured chlorophyll, leaf surface, bud, berry and air temperatures and analysed the grape juice. The results were compared to the ones of the control grape variety ‘Pinot noir’. We also assessed the extent of downy mildew on the leaves (the resistant varieties were without treatment against diseases, the control variety was grown according to the integrated grape production). Based on the phenophases development, we determined that the variety ‘Rondo’ is fastest in development, and the variety ‘Monarch’ falls behind in development somewhat when compared to the control variety in comparison to the control variety ‘Pinot noir’ (p≤0.05). In regards to temperature measuring, we determined that the lowest average temperature was in the leaves (25.1 °C), somewhat higher in the buds (25.4 °C) and highest in the berries (26.1 °C) at air temperature of 28 °C (p≤0.05). The highest berry mass was found in the variety ‘Rondo’ (207 g), followed by ‘Monarch’ (188 g), and ‘Pinot noir’ having the lowest mass at 168 g. Downy mildew infection was more widespread in the variety ‘Rondo’ (45.8 %) than in ‘Monarch’ (23.3 %). Must analysis showed that the content of titrable acids (7.6 g/L) was higher in the variety ‘Monarch’ pH content was highest in the variety ‘Rondo’ (3.8), and the control variety ‘Pinot noir’ had the highest content of malic acid (2,9 g/L).
