V času recesije pridobivajo pomen nematerialni načini motiviranja zaposlenih, vendar je ob upadanju storitev in dohodka, v negotovih razmerah težje obdržati delovno moralo zaposlenih.

One of the key factors that contribute to the better performance and efficiency of an individual, a team or a company as a whole is motivation. Taking into account the difficult economic situation, the focus on non-material motivation of employees is becoming more and more important. The fair payment remains the foundation of successful business performance. Only when the income is a high enough to assure a decent life, it is a time to concentrate on the motivation. Therefore, if a company wishes to build its competitive advantage on the committed and loyal employees, it has to choose wisely the optimum way of their motivation. “The Service Profit Chain” reveals the great importance of investments in employees, technological support of contact and sales staff, their education and training as well as the great impact of their satisfaction and loyalty, their loyalty and productivity on the perceived service value and the satisfaction and loyalty of the buyers. This has led us to the research of the employee motivation factors that have the greatest impact on employee commitment at work as well as on the sales of goods and some services in the case of company Pošta Slovenije (Post of Slovenia).
