Abstract:
Vizualna identiteta držav temelji na njihovih zastavah oziroma vsebuje elemente, ki jo sestavljajo. To tezo je postavil hrvaški oblikovalec Boris Ljubičić, zato v magistrskem delu predstavljamo njegovo biografijo in nekatera njegova temeljna dela. Prikazujemo tudi teoretična spoznanja s področja znamčenja držav in zgodovino zastave kot najpomembnejšega simbola države. V analiziranih primerih so opisani državni simboli Hrvaške, Slovenije ter Bosne in Hercegovine ter njihove vizualne identitete za turistično promocijo. Rezultati analize so pokazali, da dva od treh primerov odgovarjata tezi Borisa Ljubičića.

Title:
VISUAL IDENTITY OF NATIONS AS A POINT OF NATION BRANDING
Abstract:
The main idea of this thesis is that visual identities of nations is based on nation flags of those countries, or at least it contains some elements of the flag. Author of that thesis is Croatian designer Boris Ljubičić. Thesis contains his biography and display of his works. The work starts with overview of theoretical knowledge in the field of nation branding, and provides a brief history of flags, as the most important symbol of the state. The analyzed examples contains description of the state symbols of Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and their visual identities for the purposes of tourism promotion. Results of the analysis showed that two of the three analyzed examples correspond to the thesis of Boris Ljubičić.
