Praktični del zajema pet aktivnosti povezovanja področij matematike in gibanja.

Title:Integration of mathematical physical activities in preschool period
Abstract:The aim of my thesis Integration of mathematical and physical activities in preschool period is to find and carry out activities of cross – field connections between the fields of mathematics and movement. The purpose of the thesis is in detail evaluation of activities, that were carried out considering mathematical and movement field. The thesis consists of a theoretical, empirical and practical part. The theoretical part represents how children in kindergarten get familiar with mathematics. It includes in detail definition of characteristics and meaning of children’s movement in preschool period. Theoretical part continues with the description of cross-field connection of both fields. Empirical part contains data gained from evaluation reports and in detail explanation of progress in all activities, based on the whole group of children. Practical part includes five connecting activities from the both fields, mathematics and movement. Activities are a product of our own ideas. All of the twenty-four children participated in the activities, eleven girls and thirteen boys, 4-5 year old. The results in mathematics showed, that children experience difficulties when counting in different ways. The results in movement field show, that children’s motor skill are well developed.
