Vključenih je bilo 6 obravnavanj (por okopan (i) in neokopan (ii), združena pridelava pora s podsevkom bele detelje posejane 20.6. (iii) in 10.7. (iv) s pletjem, ter združena pridelava pora s podsevkom bele detelje posejane 20.6. (v) in 10.7.

Title:RESEARCH ON EFFECTS OF WHITE CLOVER AS A COVER CROP IN ORGANIC GROWN LEEK
Abstract:This thesis examines the use of white clover as a living mulch in organic leek production. Its aim is to answer the question if interplanting white clover with leek can retard/decrease weed growth between leek rows. For this purpose, a field experiment was conducted in 2013 at the agricultural centre of the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences (University of Maribor) in Pivola near Maribor. Six production systems were included in this experiment: leek – with (i) and without hoeing (ii), intercropping of leek and sowing of white clover on june 20. (iii) and July 10. (iv) with hoeing and intercropping of leek and white clover june 20. (v) and July 10. (vi) without hoeing. The research showed that different production systems determine the amounts of total yield for leek, fresh weight of white clover and fresh weight of weeds. In cases where intercropping and hoeing were carried out, white clover had a negative effect on leek growth. In those cases that did not include hoeing, white clover was swallowed up by weeds and resulted in an extremely poor leek growth and yield. We have, however, determined that planting white clover into leek at a later date can reduce its negative effect on leek growth and its yield. There were two cultivars used in the experiment, but their effect on the leek yield is negligible.
