Abstract:Ljudje imajo željo po ustvarjanju in s pomočjo ustvarjalnosti izpolnjujejo notranje želje in cilje.

Title:CREATIVITY AND METACOGNITIVE ACCURACY OF POPILS IN THE 1. AND 2. EDUCATIONAL PERIOD OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Abstract:People have a desire to be creative and with the use of creativity they are satisfying their internal needs and goals. The word creativity has more than one meaning and the field of it is complex. There are three basic criteria of creativity and several different theories which define creativity. When studying creativity we come across five stages of the creative process. It is also important to mention the Torrance model of creative thinking and his tests of creative thinking, which in his opinion can be used for the evaluation of creativity. It is not possible to measure creativity in its entirety - there are at least seven dimensions of the process of creativity that can be verified for any person. In the empirical part, we tried to find out with, the help of creativity tasks, if there are any differences between the pupils in the first and second educational period of primary school in solving creativity tasks. We established that with the help of a questionnaire which consists of three creativity tasks. Every task also includes a scale to determine the self confidence of the pupils in the adequacy of his or her solutions. The aim is to determine the self confidence of the pupils in the adequacy of their own solutions and the difference of the accuracy of the pupils self confidence depending on the level of schooling. When comparing the expression of creativity we have found that there is a statistically significant difference by gender and that there is also a difference depending on the age. When comparing the self confidence of the pupils in the adequacy of their own solution there are statistically significant differences by gender and by age.
