Abstract:
Namen diplomske naloge je omogočiti vnos in iskanje po metapodatkih o geografski pokritosti publikacij iz Digitalne knjižnice Univerze v Mariboru. V teoretičnem delu bomo naredili pregled geografskih javno dostopnih podatkovnih baz in opisali nekaj že izdelanih sorodnih aplikacij, ki koristijo omenjene podatkovne baze kot pomoč pri iskanju publikacij glede na njihovo geografsko pokritost. V praktičnem delu diplomskega dela bomo izdelali aplikacijo za vnos metapodatkov o geografski pokritosti publikacij iz digitalne knjižnice Univerze v Mariboru. Aplikacija bo omogočala tudi iskanje publikacij glede na njihovo geografsko pokritost..

IMPLEMENTATION OF GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE INTO METADATA OF DKUM
Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis is to enable search on metadata about the geographical coverage of the publications from the Digital Library of the University of Maribor. In the theoretical part we review the publicly accessible geographical databases and describe some related applications that use them in the search for publications with regard to their geographical coverage. In the practical part of the thesis we created an application for entering metadata about geographic coverage of publications from the Digital Library of the University of Maribor. The application also allows searching for publications based on their geographical coverage.
