Abstract:Namen tega diplomskega dela je bil predstaviti pasje borbe v Sloveniji in nekaterih evropskih državah.

Title:DOG FIGHTS IN SLOVENIA AND SOME OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES
Abstract:This case study addresses presentation of dog fights in Slovenia and other European countries. The popularity of dog fights is getting bigger every year and on the surface are coming some gruesome details from the actual training of dogs as well as the fights. Case study also includes a questionnaire which contains analyzed data from respondents. We also get their perspective on the competent authorities and dog fights. People should have more awarness of this issue and paid a little more attention to their immediate vicinity. This could help getting better information on dog fights and what are the signs that indicate the possible presence thereof. The general public should be better informed about this issue and about everything that is connected with it because this is the only way to come up with some radical changes. In Slovenia more and more rumors about dog fights are present in the last few years. We can only hope that the situation in the future will be improved and people will stop this type of actions. However, these events usually take place always at new locations and closed groups of people know for this type of fights, cooperation of the people and the authorities will be required to stop it. Dog fights are not only Slovenian problem. In this case study three European countries were presented, which are also fighting against this type of cruelty to animals or dogs. Russia is one of the countries that does not devote much attention and action to this problem as this would be necessary, as the dog fights in Russia are almost a lifestyle.
