Abstract:Ta naloga opisuje razvoj uteženega D/A-pretvornika za avdio signale. V namene varovanja občutljivih tržnih skrivnosti sam kompenzacijski algoritem v tej nalogi ni zajet.

Title:Development of an audio D/A converter with digital compensation
Abstract:This paper describes the development of a multilevel D/A converter for audio applications. The converter is built from general purpose components(resistors, capacitors, logic gates...etc) and has a very accurate measurement A/D converter on the output. The digital control circuit can perform a calibration measurement of individual elements of the D/A converter. This data is then used by a FPGA chip to calculate deviations in real time and compensate them by adjusting the D/A converters input codes. The final result is a multilevel D/A converter that is capable of reaching very high levels of performance without depending on tight component tolerances. In the interest of protecting trade secrets the compensation algorithm is no described in this paper.
