Abstract:V magistrskem delu se bomo seznanili s problematiko iskanja ustreznega plovila.

Title:MULTIPLE CRITERIA MODEL FOR EVALUATION OF SAILBOATS
Abstract:In this thesis, we will focus on problem of choosing the ideal vessel. Normal user decides to buy the boat according to their needs, desires and financial capabilities. Selection of a boat is a complex process, as it requires a lot of knowledge about boats. In this thesis we want to support and simplify the selection process of a boat to every person who is not versed with the knowledge in this field. Therefore, we will analyze and explain all the influencing parameters, that a decision-maker should be aware of when selecting a boat. We will develop two multiple criteria decision models and implement them in the specialized software - DEXi, that will help individuals to select the appropriate boat. First model will be designed for users who are choosing the travel-living boat, which could in principle also sail around the world. The second model will be devoted to a selection of regatta sailboat, that will be designed for people who focus on competitions (race) and do favor speed before comfort. The first model is likely to be more useful than the latter, because more people decide to purchase travel-living boats than the competition ones. We decided to develop two models because these two types of boats are so different, that they could not produce an appropriate model that would ultimately made the correct selection of boats.
Keywords:Decision model, sailboat, parameters, travel boat, racing boat.
