Abstract:Danes imamo v svetu veliko število podjetij, ki izdelujejo avtomobilske plašče, kot so Hankook, Vredestein, Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli in še veliko drugih.

Title:Technologies of tracking car tires
Abstract:Today, there are a lot of companies in the world that produce tyres, namely Hankook, Vredestein, Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, and many others. Each company fights for its market share. Besides the price which is important for customers, the quality of the tyres is also very important. Quality characteristics include tyre grip on wet and dry roads, braking distance, cornering grip, fuel consumption, and noise caused during the driving etc. In the reference company, we always strive to ensure high quality of our products. In order to ensure traceability of our product and its components from the beginning of the reference process to the use of the product on the market, we have decided to improve the traceability of the tyres by introducing the barcode. This would quickly detect faults in the reference process, and prevent the tyres which do not meet the quality requirements to be placed on the market, that is to be used by the customer. In the case this would happen, it would be possible to find source of difficulties or cause of poor quality of the tyres based on the data in-built in the bar code. The bar code also enables automation of the tyres manufacturing process, since today's technology enables omission of manual work where it is unnecessary. The bar code enables us easier and simpler capturing data stored in a data base for later insight and analyses.
