Title:VISUAL ELEMENTS ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS MAGAZIN IN THE CASE STUDY OF MAGAZIN
Abstract:This master's thesis presents visual elements of periodic publication from the theoretical point of view as well as on the basis of a conducted analysis of the chosen business magazine “Management in prodaja”. The biggest part of our reception of the world consists of visual elements. Therefore, the first part focuses on communication with an emphasis on visual communication. Furthermore, the thesis defines the history and general characteristics of a magazine as a specialized periodic publication. Most of the theoretical part is dedicated to the presentation of the theoretical aspect of magazine design and the definition of particular visual elements within it. This part defines important graphical elements. Due to the importance of the impact of visual communication on readers it is of utmost importance to know all the ingredients of it and to combine them into a whole. In the scope of the research and analytical part, a research whether the used elements in the case study of the magazine “Management in prodaja” are suitable and what the graphic designer should concentrate on in the future was done on the presented theoretical basis. The assumption was that the whole visual representation of the magazine was likable, clear and that it attracts attention, which was proved through the research and interpretation, since all hypotheses were proven to be true.
