Abstract:	Logistična podpora odprav v Himalajo je tesno povezana z načelo »5P« v logistiki. Vsak vodja in člani odprave, ki organizirajo odpravo se ves čas srečujejo s problemom zagotavljanja pravih dobrin, v pravi količini, na pravem mestu, ob pravem času in s pravimi oz. minimalnimi stroški. S tem se zagotovi sredstva, da lahko ekipa, ki je glavna gonilna sila, doseže zastavljen cilj. Načrtovanje človeških virov je tako eden izmed glavnih problemov s katerim se srečamo, ko organiziramo odpravo. Šele potem se lahko začnemo ukvarjati s taktiko in drugimi podrobnostmi povezanimi z odpravo. V okviru magistrskega dela smo celostno predstavili predlog organiziranja odprave v Himalajo skozi več faz. S predlaganim načinom organiziranja odprave v Himalajo lahko ekipa močno poveča možnosti, da odprava doseže zastavljen cilj, zmanjša stroške za organiziranje odprave, poveča varnost na odpravi, zmanjša stres članov na odpravi in zmanjša negativne vplive na okolje. Ne glede na vrsto odprave in zahtevnost cilja je logistika v smislu načrtovanja človeških virov, opreme in hrane ključna na poti do uspeha.

Title:	Logistical support for expeditions in Himalaya
Abstract:	Logistical support of Himalayan expeditions is closely related to the “5P” logistics model. The leader of any expedition and all expedition members are faced with the problem of providing the correct goods in the correct amount, at the correct location, at the correct time, and at minimal costs. This ensures that the team, which is the expedition’s driving force, has all the resources required to achieve their objective. As such, human resources planning is one of the main problems when organizing any expedition, and all such issues must be resolved before we start to focus on tactics and other details. This master’s thesis presents a comprehensive proposal for organizing a Himalayan expedition, which is divided into individual phases. The proposed organization method could greatly improve the team’s chances of achieving their objective, reduce organization costs, increase safety, reduce the stress suffered by the expedition members, and reduce the negative environmental impact. Logistics in terms of planning of human resources, equipment, and food, is vital for the success of any expedition, regardless of its type or the difficulty of the objective.
