Sledi opis pojmovne mape, njene oblike, uporabe in učinkovitosti. Na koncu teoretičnega dela so predstavljeni neumetnostno besedilo, način dobrega branja in način preverjanja razumevanja prebranega besedila. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave, izvedene na podlagi razumevanja neumetnostnega besedila. Vprašanja so odprtega in zaprtega tipa. Spremenljivke so spol, interes, učni uspeh in stopnja razumevanja prebranega besedila. V raziskavo so vključeni učenci šestega razreda OŠ Turnišče. Na podlagi zbranih podatkov so rezultati grafično in tabelarno predstavljeni.

Title:READING COMPREHENSION OF NON-LITERARY TEXTS
Abstract:The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents the terms reading and reading literacy. First we will define the term reading and present its teaching. Then we will determine the types of reading based on Nodelman and Reimer and based on Metka Kordigel. Next we will describe the reading development during different periods. Because reading is also dependant from the inner and outer motivation, we will also present this aspect. In the following part will define and present the terms reading and functional literacy. The meaning of reading speed, factors and techniques of fast reading will be presented. We will describe the factors, procedures, criteria, methods and techniques of text comprehension. This part will be followed by a description of a conceptual map, its form, use and efficiency. At the end of the theoretical part we will present a non-literary text, ways how to read it properly and how to check its understanding. The empirical part will present the findings of the research, which will be performed based on the comprehension of a non-literary text. The test sample will be similar to the national testing of students. The questions will be open-ended and closed-ended. The variables will be sex, interest, school achievement and the level of comprehension of the read text. The research will include the sixth grade students of Elementary School Turnišče. Based on the collected data the findings will be presented graphically and in tables.
