Abstract:Diplomsko delo predstavlja in raziskuje prezentizem v Kranjskih vrtcih.

Title:PRESENTEEISM PROBLEM IN KRANJ`S KINDERGARDENS
Abstract:The thesis presents and explores presenteeism in Kranjski vrtci kindergartens. In the past, absenteeism, which is the opposite of presenteeism, appeared more often. Presenteeism means attending work in spite of being ill or not feeling well and is a modern problem, which consequently means that it has not yet been thoroughly researched. This thesis presents the causes of this problem as well as its consequences. It also presents some measures that could eliminate or reduce presenteeism. The empirical part contains the presentation of a survey conducted among teachers and their assistants from all the units of Kranjski vrtci. The survey led to the conclusion that most of the employees had already encountered presenteeism, but not because of the fear of job loss, but because they did not want to burden their co-workers with extra work due to their absence. The analysis showed that teachers and their assistants were overburdened. At the end the thesis describes possible solutions for reducing presenteeism, which certainly include raising awareness or educating employees about presenteeism and mutual help among employees. In this way it is possible to reduce the level of presenteeism, which greatly affects the well-being of individuals as well as the functioning of the organisation, and by implementing measures for eliminating presenteeism the quality of employees' work would improve.
