Abstract:	Vitka miselnost bi morala v tem sodobnem svetu postajati vsakodnevna praksa, saj nam pomaga k dolgoročni uspešnosti podjetij. Vendar se je samega uvajanja težko lotiti, saj taka miselnost ni zakoreninjena v naši družbi, prav tako podjetja niso deležna zunanje podpore. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti tri najbolj znane sisteme − The Toyota Way, KAIZEN in 20 ključev ter na podlagi dane literature povzeti glavne elemente vsakega. Te tri smo si izbrali tudi zato, ker so imeli največji vpliv pri uvajanju vitke miselnosti v proizvodno podjetje Iskra Mehanizmi, d.d., Lipnica. Če smo želeli spoznali, skozi kakšen proces mora iti neko podjetje, ki uvaja vitko miselnost, smo si natančno pogledali, kako so v obravnavanem podjetju izdelali svoj lasten sistem stalnih izboljšav. Tako smo podali nek model, ki bi lahko služil kot osnova za pomoč tudi drugim slovenskim podjetjem, ki se odločajo izboljšati svoje poslovanje na dolgi rok, brez velikih vložkov zunanjih svetovalcev. Verjamemo, da je vpeljava vitke miselnosti v podjetje Iskra Mehanizmi v veliki meri prispevala k uspešnosti tega podjetja. Dejstvo je, da je od začetka uvajanja novega pristopa minilo že več kot 20 let, a pri njem še vedno vztrajajo, ga nadgrajujejo in dnevno izboljšujejo, zato menimo, da je bil ta pristop uspešen.

Title:	Implementation of lean thinking into a production company
Abstract:	Nowadays, lean thinking should be commonly applied to all aspects of business in order to achieve long-term business success. However, organizations are faced with many obstacles due to the fact that lean thinking is not commonly accepted in the society, nor do companies get support from outside sources. The purpose of this diploma is to present three of the most known systems — Toyota, KAIZEN and 20 Keys — and on the base of literature, summarize head elements of each. We chose these three because they had the biggest influence on implementation of lean thinking at production company Iskra Mehanizmi d.d., Lipnica. We learned through the process they followed in order to achieve the desired results of a streamlined production process. We looked closely at how the company created their own model system of continuous improvement. As a result, we presented our own business model which could benefit Slovenian companies that want to improve their long-term business without the big investment that comes with hiring an outside consultant. It is argued in this thesis that the implementation of lean thinking within Iskra Mehanizmi has led to its success. It has been more than 20 years since the introduction of the new business methodology which continues to be used to this day with frequent monitoring, improvements and updates, ensuring the ongoing success of the company.
