Abstract:Podjetje posluje v okolju polnem izzivov, ki ga silijo v čedalje večja prilagajanja in soočanja s kakovostnimi, stroškovnimi, pravnimi in okoljevarstvenimi zahtevami.

Title:Outsourcing of logistics activities in Slovenian small production companies
Abstract:Nowadays, a company operates in a challenging business environment which more and more forces the company into greater adjustments and confrontations with the demands of quality, costs, legal rights and environmental protection. If the companies want to be successfull, competitive and achieve the economic development and growth, they have to follow up the market and production novelties and requirements. The companies have to invest them into their operations and thus avoid the possible uncertainties. One of possible business co-operations is to transfer a part of business activity or total activity to an external contractor (outsourcing). The essence of outsourcing are cost, productive and other benefits. The contractor has to complete the eliminated activity more successfully as if the company itself would handle it. The company has to consider pros and cons of the co-operation with the external constructors before eliminating activity or service by outsourcing. In thesis we defined the outsourcing in detail. We described the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing in connection with logistics activity of production organization. In order to get an insight into the theoretical part, we carried out the research among small production organizations in the Republic of Slovenija. The companies decide to outsource because they want to concentrate on the key activities, they expect to cut down the operational costs and to gain the outside knowledge and experiences. The most frequently outsourced business tasks are: work security, cleaning and legal consultancy.
