Abstract:	V diplomski nalogi sem obravnaval izzive, s katerimi se soočajo družinska podjetja pri prenosu vodstva in lastništva iz ene generacije na drugo. V teoretičnem delu diplome sem predstavil temeljne lastnosti družinskih podjetji, zanimalo me je, v čem se družinska podjetja ločijo od nedružinskih in kaj so njihove prednosti in slabosti. Prav tako sem proučeval potek prenosa vodstva iz ene generacije na drugo. V empiričnem delu sem predstavil proučevano podjetje The Tylet Place. Podjetje je v preteklosti že uspešno prestalo prenos vodstva in lastništva med generacijami. Na podlagi opravljenega intervjuja s sedanjim direktorjem proučevanega podjetja sem prišel do sklepa, da se v podjetju zavedajo pomena planiranja prenosa podjetja na naslednjo generacijo, temu posvečajo pozornost, vendar kljub temu še nimajo izbranega kandidata, ki bo prevzel vodenje in lastništvo podjetja, podjetje prav tako nima določenega časovnega okvira, kdaj bi do prenosa naj prišlo.

Title:	CHALLENGES OF SUCCESSION IN FAMILY BUSINESSES ON THE CASE OF THE FAMILY RESIDENCES TYLER PLACE
Abstract:	In my thesis addressed the challenges faced by family businesses in the transfer of management and ownership from one generation to another. In the theoretical part of the seminar I presented the fundamental characteristics of family businesses, what sets the family businesses apart from non-family and what are their strengths and weaknesses. I also studied the place of transfer of management from one generation to another. In the empirical part of the seminar I presented the studied company The Tyler Place. The company has already successfully undergone the transfer of management and ownership between generations. On the basis of the interview with the current director of the studied companies I came to the conclusion that the company is aware of how important is to plan succession, they are paying attention to the matter, but nevertheless have not selected a candidate who will take over the management and ownership of the company, the company also has no specific time frame when the transfer would occur.
