Title:The effect of social capital on the socially responsible knowledge sharing in new product development teams based on knowledge and values leadership
Abstract:Social capital is recognized as important to the society in general and also in the business world. However, its dimensions are fairly diverse and it looks like it depends on the company in which it is measured, since the perception of trust around the world is very different. This currently makes it impossible to measure the social capital in sufficient detail, therefore it is formally not (yet) included in the intellectual capital. Members of the new products development team may, if their actions are socially responsible in accordance with the strategy of the organization in which they are employed, have a positive impact on sustainable development, provided that their values are appropriate and they can effectively share knowledge in the process of innovation. Socially responsible companies that operate sustainably towards the environment identify their stakeholders and, if this is in accordance with the vision and the strategy of the company, regularly communicate with them in a transparent manner. Such companies are aware that with a proactive approach to corporate social responsibility the level of social capital of the company increases as well. Thus they ensure a continually successful business without harming the environment.
