Abstract:	Kot srednje veliko podjetje iz Slovenije smo se v bližnji preteklosti pridružili globalnemu podjetju, ki sega na vse celine sveta. Posledično se je struktura lokalnega IT povezala v strukturo globalnega IT, ki je za sabo potegnila precejšnje prilagoditve in spremembe. Ker postajamo številčno vse večji, se posledično pojavlja težava, kako vso to masovno infrastrukturo nadzorovati. V takih razmerah nam sodobna informacijska tehnologija lahko hitro postane konkurenčna prednost, saj bi brez nje težko obvladovali potrebe svojih strank. Diplomsko delo obravnava predstavitev in implementacijo Landesk produkta na lokalnem nivoju, konfiguracijo in uporabo modula Landesk za distribucijo in nadgradnjo programske opreme in operacijskih sistemov na lokalnem, kot tudi na globalnem nivoju podjetja Poclain Hydraulics. Prikazano je preteklo in obstoječe stanje na področju nameščanja in posodabljanja lokalne programske opreme, opredelitev želenih ciljev in potreb, predstavitev implementacije, predstavitev modulov, prikaz predlaganih rešitev in prikaz rezultatov.

Title:	LANDESK PATCH MANAGER IMPLEMENTATION FOR OPERATING SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS UPGRADE
Abstract:	As a medium-sized company from Slovenia we have become a part of global company from 2007 which is presented in all continents of the world. The structure of the local IT department is now connected into global IT structure, consequently, we are pushed into large adjustments and changes. Since our infrastructure become bigger and bigger, we encountered the problem, how to control and manage efficiently all those massive global infrastructure. In such circumstances, a modern information technology can quickly become a competitive advantage, because without it, it is hard to cope with the needs of its customers. Thesis shows the presentation and implementation of LANDesk product at the local level, configuration and useage of the Distribution module of LANDesk and upgrading of software and operating systems on a local level, as well as at the global level of company Poclain Hydraulics. It is presented the past and the current situation on local level, installing and updating of local software and patches, explanation of the objectives and needs, presentation of implementation, modules presentation, followed by conclusions of proposed solutions and results.
