Abstract:	Diplomsko delo z naslovom Kulturnozgodovinska podoba Ribnice na Pohorju in Josipdola obravnava del zgodovine omenjenih krajev. Poleg šolstva in kulturnih dejavnosti so predstavljene še gospodarske dejavnosti, predvsem steklarne in kamnolom, ker imajo pomembno vlogo za razvoj krajev in posledično tudi za razvoj šolstva (z večanjem števila otrok takratnih delavcev se je namreč širilo tudi organizirano izobraževanje). Da bi vsaj okvirno zajela vse kulturnozgodovinske dejavnosti, sem vključila še delovanje župnije, ki je imelo v preteklosti velik vpliv na izobraževanje. Prikazana je tudi turistična dejavnost, znane osebnosti, med katerimi sem zajela le nekaj najpomembnejših, ki so krojile oz. še krojijo zgodovino na izobraževalno-kulturnem področju. Opozorjeno je tudi na naravno dediščino ter ustno izročilo, ki razkriva zanimivosti o Ribnici na Pohorju in Josipdolu. Predmet zanimanja je tudi kulturna dejavnost, predvsem delujoča društva, ki imajo pomembno vlogo za razvoj krajev.

Title:	THE CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL IMAGE OF RIBNICA NA POHORJU AND JOSIPDOL
Abstract:	The undergraduate thesis with its title Cultural historical image of Ribnica na Pohorju and Jospidol deals with a part of the history of the mentioned towns. Besides the schools and cultural activities, economic activities have been presented, in particular the glassworks and the query, due to their important role in development of the mentioned towns and consequently their influence on the development of the schools (by increased numbers of workers’ children at that time, structured education spread as well). To be able to at least tentatively cover all of the cultural historical activities, I have also included the operation of the parish that has had a great influence on the education in the past. The touristic activity has also been displayed, celebrities, among who I have chosen only the most important few and who were making i.e., they still are making history in educational and cultural field. Natural heritage as well as oral tradition, uncovering the interesting facts about Ribnica na Pohorju and Josipdol, have also been mentioned in the undergraduate thesis. The subject of interest has also been the cultural activity in particular the active societies, playing an important role in the development of the towns.
