Abstract:Naloga prikazuje povezanost religioznosti mladostnikov in njihovega čustvovanja ter povezavo religiozne vključenosti in duševnega zdravja. Preko različnih predstavljenih študij in analiz je bilo ugotovljeno, da obstaja najmočnejša pozitivna povezanost med intrinzično religioznimi orientacijami in sedmimi koncepti duševnega zdravja. Ti koncepti so: odsotnost duševne bolezni, primerno socialno vedenje, odsotnost notranjih konfliktov in krivde, osebna sposobnost in sposobnost samokontrole, samosprejemanje in samoaktualizacija, integriteta osebnosti, prilagodljivost novim situacijam in informacijam. Ugotovitve študij so pokazale,da pri mladih posameznikih obstaja negativna povezanost med religiozno vključenostjo ter duševnim zdravjem. Osnovni vir podatkov in tudi navdih na katerem temelji naloga je delo Daniela C. Batsona, Patricie Schoenrade and W. Larry Ventisa, Religion and the Individual: A Social – Psychological Perspective, kjer avtorji prikažejo veliko število študij, večinoma opravljenih v ZDA. Mi smo prikazali samo tiste raziskave, ki se nanašajo na mladostnike. Ameriško kulturno in religiozno okolje je bilo izbrano zaradi največje religiozne raznolikosti na svetu.

Title:The connection between religiosity and positive youth emotionality (The analyisis of American researches)
Abstract:The present work exposes the connection between youth religiosity and their feelings and connection between religious inclusion and mental health. Through different presented studies and analysis was determined as the strongest positive connection is between intrinsic religious orientations and the seven mental health concepts. The mentioned concepts are: absence of illness, appropriate social behaviour, freedom from worry and guilt, personal competence and control, self-acceptance and self - actualization, personality unification and organization, open-mindedness and flexibility. The findings demonstrated that among young individuals there is negative connection between religious inclusion and mental health. The essential work that this work is based upon and is meant as an inspiration as well, is Religion and the Individual: A Social – Psychological Perspective by Daniel C. Batson, Patricia Schoenrade and W. Larry Ventis. In this place the authors represent surveys made mostly in the USA. Only the ones referred to youth are picked out. The American culture and religious environment was chosen due to its most religious diversity in the world.
