Abstract:V raziskavo so bili vključeni organizatorji prehrane v vrtcih in osnovnih šolah Slovenije v letu 2016.

Title:Definition of Ekodar brand consumers profile and analysis of financial statements – case study
Abstract:The research included the organizers of meals in kindergartens and primary schools in Slovenia in the year 2016. The institutions were divided into two groups with regard to the fact if they purchase meat of the brand Ekodar. The results of the study have shown that schools and kindergartens in Slovenia are aware of the benefits of local and organic meat, but its price is too high and the offer is insufficient. The institutions in the countryside decide to purchase local and organic meat to a lesser extent than those from the suburbs and from the city. Kindergartens give greater priority to locally and organically produced meat than schools. Almost all respondents recognized the organic brand Ekodar. Users of this brand have confidence in the origin of the meat and are very satisfied with the supplier and quality of the meat. They learned for the brand Ekodar mostly through presentations, media and public tender. When introducing this meat in the meal their only limits were financial limits. If institutions would have the opportunity to include also other types of organic meat in meals, they would prefer chicken and turkey meat. As regards the processed products, they would like to include chicken and turkey breasts in meals. Net profit for the financial year 2015 in comparison with 2011 was higher. For »Red organic meat« revenues in the year 2015 were lower than in 2011.
