Abstract:Leonid Pitamic je bil slovenski pravnik. Sodeloval je pri komisiji za Narodno vlado v Ljubljani, na mirovni konferenci v Parizu, imenovan je bil v Deželno vlado za Slovenijo, dejaven je bil tudi na letnih skupščinah Društva narodov v Ženevi ter bil stalni član arbitražnega sodišča v Haagu in izredni poslanik ter pooblaščeni minister Kraljevine Jugoslavije pri vladi v Združenih državah Amerike v Washingtonu. Ob ustanovitvi Univerze v Ljubljani je bil imenovan med prve redne profesorje in izvoljen za prvega dekana na Pravni fakulteti v Ljubljani. Delovanje fakultete je otvoril s predavanjem Pravo in revolucija. Bil je član Jugoslovanske akademije znanosti in umetnosti v Zagrebu, od njene ustanovitve pa tudi redni član Akademije znanosti in umetnosti. Bogumil Vošnjak je bil pisec, politik in diplomat. Skupaj s Hrvatom Antejem Trumbićem je med prvo svetovno vojno sodeloval pri razglasitvi Krfske deklaracije. Bil je tajnik Jugoslovanskega odbora v emigraciji, poslanec v Narodni skupščini in poslanik Kraljevine SHS v Pragi. Imenovan je bil za profesorja političnih ved na Univerzi v Zagrebu. Po drugi svetovni vojni je že drugič odšel v izseljenstvo, kjer je deloval kot član Slovenskega narodnega odbora v Washingtonu in nekaj časa pri Svobodni Evropi. Ivan Žolger je bil slovenski pravnik in diplomat. Imenovan je bil v uradniško vlado Ernesta Seidlerja za ministra brez listnice. Kot minister je bil prvi in edini Slovenec na takšnem položaju v Avstriji v času habsburške monarhije. V Narodni vladi je bil imenovan za predsednika upravne komisije v oddelek za notranje zadeve, Anton Korošec pa ga je predlagal za glavnega slovenskega zastopnika Društva narodov v Ženevi. Med drugim je bil imenovan tudi za rednega profesorja na Pravni fakulteti v Ljubljani.

Title:THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF THE LJUBLJANA FACULTY OF LAW IN THE HABSBURG MONARCHY: PITAMIC, VOŠNJAK, ŽOLGER
Abstract:Leonid Pitamic was a Slovenian lawyer. He participated at the commission of the National Government in Ljubljana, at the peace conference in Paris, he was appointed to the Provincial Government for Slovenia, he was also active at the annual general meetings of the League of Nations in Geneva and was a permanent member of the Arbitral Tribunal in The Hague and Extraordinary Ambassador and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia to the United States. Upon the establishment of the University of Ljubljana he was appointed among the first full professors and was elected as the first dean of the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. The faculty was opened by him with a lecture called Law and revolution. He was a member of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb since its foundation, as well as a regular member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts. Bogumil Vošnjak was a writer, a politician and a diplomat. Together with the Croat Ante Trumbić he took part in the proclamation of Corfu Declaration during the First World War. He was a secretary of the Yugoslav Committee in emigration, a deputy in the National Assembly and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of SHS in Prague. He was appointed as a professor of political science at the University of Zagreb. After the Second World War he emigrated for the second time, where he worked as a member of the Slovenian National Committee in Washington, and some time at the Free Europe. Ivan Žolger was a Slovenian lawyer and a diplomat. He was appointed Minister without portfolio during the Ernest Seidler’s government. As the minister he was the first and only Slovenian in such a position in Austria during the habsburg monarchy. He was appointed Chairman of the Administrative Commission in the Department of Internal Affairs at the The National Government, and he was proposed for the main Slovenian representative by the League of Nations in Geneva by Anton Korošec. Among other things, he was appointed a full professor at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana.
