Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo opredelili patronažno zdravstveno nego kot obliko zdravstvenega varstva in komunikacijo kot sestavni del zdravstvene nege. Opisali smo verbalno in neverbalno komunikacijo, terapevtsko ter podporno komunikacijo. Želeli smo poudariti pomen terapevtske komunikacije med patronažno medicinsko sestro in pacientom. Uporabili smo neeksperimentalno kvantitativno metodo dela.

Title:THE THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HOME CARE NURSES AND PATIENTS
Abstract:In the thesis we have defined domicilary medical care as a form of social security service and the communication as important component of domicilary medical care. We have described verbal and non-verbal communication, therapeutic communication as well as supportive communication. We wanted to call attention to the meaning of therapeutic communication between the domicilary care provider and her patients. A non-experimental quantitative method of work was used, which included a questionnaire composed of 20 questions referring to therapeutic communication. The nurse distributed 40 questionnaires to the patients who had been receiving care for at least one year. It was found that patients consider the relationship to their nurse as very important. Domiciliary nurse is an important health care provider present during the patient’s healing process which is especially due to her coming to the patient’s home. The majority of patients have expressed trust to their domiciliary nurse; according to them, it is important that the relationship is based on therapeutic communication. Therapeutic communication enables an atmosphere of mutual trust between the domiciliary nurse and her patient. Additionally, it provides conditions allowing the nurse to carry out health care activities.
