Abstract:Osrednja tema diplomskega projekta so ženske in podjetništvo na območju občine Mislinja.

Title:WOMEN AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN MISLINJA MUNICIPALITY
Abstract:The main topic of the graduation thesis covers women and entrepreneurship in the municipality of Mislinja. Female entrepreneurship started emerging in Slovenia mainly at the beginning of the 1990s, when we come into a market economy. The purpose of the graduation thesis is to analyse female entrepreneurship and its characteristics. The purpose was also to find which challenges female entrepreneurs face and what the incentives for female entrepreneurship exist. The thesis also presents female entrepreneurship in the municipality of Mislinja. The first chapter of the theoretical part uses expert literature to define the meaning of female entrepreneurship and characteristics of women in entrepreneurship; it also defines the differences between women and men in entrepreneurship. The following part covers demographic characteristics of female entrepreneurs. The fourth chapter defines the challenges of women in entrepreneurship where it highlights obstacles and opportunities. The following part presents the support or incentives for female entrepreneurship; the last theoretical part defines the position of women entrepreneurs in the municipality of Mislinja. The empirical part covers three interviews with different female entrepreneurs. Their answers were compared and we found that all interviewed female entrepreneurs were encouraged by their families to establish companies. All female entrepreneurs were also of the same opinion that the municipality of Mislinja does not offer special incentives for female entrepreneurship which is an important message for the designers of the regional economic policy.
