Abstract:
V sodobni družbi naraščajo kronična obolenja, življenjska doba se podaljšuje in temu posledično so tudi potrebe po paliativni oskrbi vse večje. Torej so potrebe po celostni pomoči pacientom vseh starosti z napredovalo neozdravljivo boleznijo pa tudi njihovim bližnjim – svojcem vedno večje. Ker pa paliativno oskrbo in paliativno zdravstveno nego izvajamo tudi patronažne medicinske sestre, smo v teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela opisali paliativno oskrbo, paliativno zdravstveno nego in patronažno varstvo v paliativi. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika skušali ugotoviti psihološki vpliv paliativne nege na patronažno medicinsko sestro. Rezultati naše raziskave so potrdili, da patronažne medicinske sestre pri svojem delu doživljajo/-mo stisko in da bi moralo vodstvo zdravstvenih domov bolj poskrbeti za duševno zdravje svojih zaposlenih.

PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT OF PALLIATIVE CARE ON COMMUNITY NURSES
Abstract:
Modern society witnesses many chronical diseases, life expectancy is prolonged and therefore palliative care is a growing need. Need for the complete help to the patients of all ages with progressed incurable diseases is also growing, and this help is also needed for their families. Palliative care ad palliative nursing is carried out by home care nurses so the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the palliative care, palliative nursing and home care palliative care. The empirical part of the thesis presents the results of the questionnaire which deals with psychological effect of palliative care in relation to the home care nurses. The survey results have confirmed that home care nurses experience emotional distress and that health care centres should improve their attitude and policy towards mental health of their employees.
