Title:Infrared photography
Abstract:Infrared photography is a lesser known form of photography that allows the photographer to explore a spectrum of light that is invisible to the naked eye. In the theoretical part of our research we focus on the properties of infrared light and the technologies that allow us to capture it. We look at its potential for practical use today, and through history. Because there are several ways to capture near infrared light, we researched and explained different methods used, and the equipment required. Based on theoretical findings, we combined infrared, landscape and documentary photography in order to capture photographs, that serve as a case study to explain the difference between infrared and conventional photography.
Keywords:infrared filter, wavelength, hot mirror, visual spectrum
