V drugem delu magistrskega dela smo analizirali dve njegovi skladbi, Jugoslavensko suito in Sonato.

Title:Influence of Međimurje Melos in the Piano Opus Of Josip Štolcer Slavenski
Abstract:Josip Štolcer Slavenski was a well-known Croatian composer who was active not only in the Croatian area, but also in a wider European area. Slavenski was one of the most important composers in the former Yugoslavia and also a representative of the European avant-garde musical style. Professors Kodaly and Bartok had a big impact on his creative work. The melodics of the Medžimurje and their folklore also had a major effect on him. We reviewed the domestic and foreign database and searched for the general information about the composer's life. In the second part of my Master's thesis we analyzed two of the composers compositions - the Yugoslavian suite and sonata. In the mentioned parts, we can find different forms, such as ''The Golden Mean Principle'', the bichordality and the politonality. Slavenski studied the Medžimurje folk songs, but later his work was continued by dr. Vinko Žganec. The impact of the Medžimurje melos in Slavenski's work can be found in numerous compositions, such as Slavene sonata for violin and piano, Yugoslavian piano suite, From Yugoslavia, and others. Due to the fact that Slavenski's work represented and inspiration for other composer's creativity, an opening of the Memorial Collection Slavenski was held in Čakovec in 1996. As well as the Memorial itself, there was an establishment of the vocal choir Josip Štolcer Slavenski, which is still active today. Josip Štolcer Slavenski's work is recognizable today and is getting a wider attention range than in the past.
