Ljudje stremimo k boljšemu zaslužku in posledično k boljšemu življenju, a kljub temu si anketiranci želijo zaposlitve v domačem kraju, saj jim družinsko življenje pomeni veliko.

Title:LABOUR MIGRATION FROM RIBNICA TO LJUBLJANA
Abstract:The base of my thesis, titled Commuting to work from Ribnica to Ljubljana, is a research about why the citizens of Ribnica commute to work to another municipiality on daily basis. In my case, this municipiality is Ljubljana. I was specificly interested whether the reason for this commution is social security or if there really is not enough of working positions where people live. Maybe the reason is also lack of working positions where higher education is needed or just lower income which they would have. I also was curious how young families see this type of problem from child care point of view and the transportation connections. My thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the empirical one. In the latter one, I used an opened and closed survey questionnaire. In my thesis, I came to conslusions, that the biggest part of work commuters from Ribnica to Ljubljana commute due to the reason that there is not enough of working positions for higher education in the municipiality of Ribnica. People always aim for a better earning and a better life. Despite this, the survey shows, that people would like to work in their home city, because they are very fond of their family life. To improve and relief the daily communtion, transportation connections should be improved by building a highway or a railway. It would also be improved by upgrading employment opportunities in their home municipiality.
