Abstract:
V diplomskem delu opišemo in implementiramo algoritem RSA, ki je namenjen šifriranju z uporabo javnega in zasebnega ključa. Algoritem smo uporabili za šifriranje sporočil, ki se preko nezaščitene povezave prenašajo v naši aplikaciji. Aplikacija deluje po načelu odjemalec/strežnik in omogoča klepet med dvema uporabnikoma. Prav tako opišemo protokol za komunikacijo med strežnikom in odjemalcem ter med dvema odjemalcema. Na koncu še izvedemo časovno analizo pridobivanja ključev ter šifriranja in dešifriranja s pomočjo algoritma RSA.

Title:
USE OF RSA ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM FOR COMMUNICATION PROTECTION IN A CHAT APPLICATION
Abstract:
In our thesis we describe and implement the RSA algorithm, which we use for encryption with public and private keys. We use the algorithm for encryption of messages, which are sent through unprotected connections between our applications. Application uses the client-server model and allows chatting between users. We also describe the protocol for communication between the server and the client as well as between two clients. Finally, we perform a time analysis of key generation, encrypting and decrypting with the RSA algorithm.
